Can you help us keep Synnøve alive?![]()
Synnøve Stautland Koløen is 33 years old, a teacher and the mother of two. She suffers from acute myelogenous leukaemia (AML). Chemotherapy finished in spring, and she spent four months with her family this summer. She only got to walk her 6-year-old daughter to school the first week of term. Then the relapse came.
It’s not enough to hope anymore. Now she needs a bone marrow donation to survive.
It’s urgent.
As a blood donor and bone marrow donor you can save lives. Please help secure Synnøve a future, and become a donor.
This is what you can do:
Sign up as blood donor on the website of your country or go to your local hospital. Since there are millions of different varieties of human body tissue and there must be a match between the donor’s and the recipient’s tissue, you are not likely to be singled out. However, your blood donation and bone marrow donation can help Synnøve and others survive.
Bone marrow donation is not dangerous, it is easy, and it saves lives.
